Mark Zuckerberg's decision to acquire the messaging service WhatsApp seems to set the web on fire, with many speculating over the latest acquisition as proof of a tech company valuation bubble. Funny enough, WhatsApp does have a subscription revenue stream where it asks its users for $1 per year after first year free subscription. But this is no way justifies the nearly $20bn acquisition, even after WhatsApp's 450 million user base.
